Sephora is hiring a full-time Licensed Beauty Advisor for its Hillsdale store in San Mateo. The role provides makeup, waxing, and other listed beauty services, supports store goals through client service and product sales, and requires an active state license; the schedule is 30–40 hours per week. Hourly pay is $24.00–$27.60, depending on qualifications, experience, and other legitimate business factors.
Role & Responsibilities
- Help achieve store goals by providing and rebooking beauty services, serving clients, and selling products.
- Provide makeup, waxing, and other services listed on Sephora’s Beauty Services menu.
- Stay informed about beauty trends and product knowledge to educate and empower clients.
- Maintain active licenses and uphold health and safety protocols.
- Promote an open, inclusive culture where everyone feels empowered.
- Follow company policies and Sephora standards to help create a safe, secure, and enjoyable shopping experience.
Qualifications
- Hold an active license to provide waxing, makeup, and false application services in the state where the services are performed.
- Have 1–3 years of experience in a similar role or in a retail, hospitality, or service environment.
- Demonstrate strong knowledge of beauty products, services, trends, and techniques.
- Demonstrate the ability to deliver personalized client service and build lasting relationships.
