Sephora seeks Licensed Beauty Advisor in San Mateo, CA. Full-time hourly position offering beauty services and sales, $24–$27.60/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Drive sales results and achieve store goals through rebooking and upselling beauty services and complementary products
- Perform makeup applications, waxing, false lash application, and other services as listed in Sephora's Beauty Services menu
- Educate and empower clients through current beauty trend knowledge, product expertise, and personalized service recommendations
- Maintain active professional licensure and consistently uphold health, safety, and hygiene protocols
- Foster an inclusive team environment that celebrates diversity and promotes a culture of belonging and empowerment
- Ensure punctuality, reliable attendance, and flexibility to work peak retail operations including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Qualifications
- Active state license for waxing, makeup application, and false lash services
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar beauty services role, or in retail, hospitality, or service-oriented environment
- Strong product knowledge encompassing beauty trends, techniques, and comprehensive service offerings
- Demonstrated ability to build lasting client relationships and deliver personalized, consultative service
- Collaborative team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
