Sephora (Riverhead, NY) seeks a Licensed Beauty Advisor (Part-Time) to deliver makeup, waxing and beauty services in the Beauty Studio.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver professional beauty services in the Beauty Studio, including makeup application, waxing, and false-lash application according to Sephora’s service menu.
- Drive revenue and help achieve store targets through service bookings, rebooking clients, and retail product sales.
- Maintain up-to-date licensure and adhere to all health, safety and hygiene protocols while performing services.
- Act as a trusted consultant by educating clients on product benefits, trends, and regimen recommendations to build long-term relationships.
- Promote an inclusive, team-oriented environment that supports collaboration and a positive client experience.
- Adhere to company policies and standards to ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming shopping environment for all customers.
- Maintain flexible availability, including nights, weekends and holidays, and meet required minimum weekly shift/hours.
Qualifications
- Active state license to perform waxing, makeup application and false-lash services in the state of employment.
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar role or in retail, hospitality, or service environments.
- Strong knowledge of beauty products, service protocols, and current industry trends.
- Proven ability to deliver personalized client service and build repeat clientele.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, and ability to meet minimum scheduling requirements.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Skills
Experience
1–3 years in a beauty services role, or experience in retail, hospitality, or client-facing service environments.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; required state cosmetology/esthetician license for the services listed.
