Sephora in San Leandro, CA is hiring a Licensed Beauty Advisor (Part Time). Hourly pay $24.00–$27.60; licensed candidates preferred.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver professional beauty services at the Beauty Studio including makeup application, waxing and false eyelash application in accordance with Sephora’s service menu and hygiene standards.
- Provide expert, consultative client appointments that educate clients on products, techniques and routines while driving product sales and rebooking of services.
- Achieve individual and store performance targets through selling, rebooking, clienteling and follow-up activities.
- Maintain active state licensure and ensure strict adherence to health, safety and sanitation protocols at all times.
- Foster an inclusive, collaborative retail environment that supports teammates and promotes an exceptional client experience.
- Uphold company policies and standards to contribute to a safe, welcoming and compliant shopping environment.
- Maintain punctuality and availability for scheduled shifts, including nights, weekends and holiday periods as required by retail peak demand.
Qualifications
- Active cosmetology, esthetician or waxing license valid in the state where services are performed.
- 1–3 years’ experience in a beauty services role or in retail, hospitality or customer service with demonstrable client-facing results.
- Deep knowledge of makeup, skincare and waxing techniques, trends and product formulations.
- Proven ability to deliver personalized consultations and build repeat client relationships.
- Demonstrated teamwork, adaptability and capacity to work in a fast-paced, goal-oriented retail environment.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Skills
Experience
1–3 years of client-facing experience in beauty services, retail, hospitality or a related customer service environment; prior experience delivering makeup and waxing services preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; cosmetology, esthetician or waxing certification/license required as mandated by state law.
