Sephora in Pittsburgh (South Hills Village) is hiring a Part‑Time Licensed Beauty Advisor — hourly role delivering makeup, waxing and beauty services.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver professional beauty services at the Beauty Studio including makeup application, waxing, and false lash application according to Sephora’s service menu.
- Drive sales and client retention through personalised consultations, product recommendations, and rebooking of services.
- Maintain active state licensure for required services and adhere strictly to health, safety and sanitation protocols.
- Remain current on product assortments, trends and techniques to educate and empower clients during consultations.
- Contribute to an inclusive, team‑oriented store culture and support the store in meeting operational and revenue goals.
- Work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays; ensure punctuality and reliable attendance.
- Perform light physical tasks associated with the role, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
Qualifications
- Active state license to perform waxing, makeup application and false lash application in the state of employment.
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar beauty‑service role or within retail, hospitality, or other client‑facing service environments.
- Demonstrated product knowledge across cosmetics, skincare and beauty tools, with ability to translate knowledge into client recommendations.
- Strong interpersonal and consultative selling skills with a track record of delivering personalised client service.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a goal‑oriented team and quickly absorb and share product and service training.
- Availability for required minimum weekly shifts consistent with part‑time scheduling and peak retail hours.

1–3 years of client‑facing experience in beauty services, retail, or hospitality; prior experience performing makeup and waxing services preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of cosmetology/esthetician training where required by state licensure.
