Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver licensed beauty services including makeup application, waxing, and false eyelash application according to Sephora’s Beauty Services menu.
  • Drive sales and service revenue by consulting clients, recommending products, and rebooking follow-up appointments.
  • Educate and inspire clients by maintaining up-to-date product and trend knowledge and providing personalized recommendations.
  • Maintain active state licensure and adhere to all sanitation, health and safety protocols and hygiene standards.
  • Provide an inclusive and welcoming client experience that reflects Sephora standards and company policies.
  • Collaborate with peers to achieve store goals, participate in team initiatives, and support a culture of openness and respect.
  • Work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays and meet required weekly shift minimums.
  • Perform light physical tasks related to merchandising and stock handling, including lifting up to 50 pounds when required.

Qualifications

  • Active state license to perform waxing, makeup, and false eyelash services in the state where services are performed.
  • 1–3 years’ experience in a similar licensed role or experience in retail, hospitality, or client-facing service environments.
  • Demonstrated product knowledge across makeup and skin-care categories and ability to convey expertise to clients.
  • Proven ability to deliver personalized client service, build rapport, and drive repeat business through rebooking.
  • Reliable availability for peak retail hours (nights, weekends, holidays) and consistent punctuality and attendance.
  • Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and to perform standing service shifts.

Experience

Preferred 1–3 years of experience in a licensed beauty role or equivalent experience in retail, hospitality, or service environments. Entry-level candidates with strong customer service skills and relevant licensing will be considered.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; completion of state-required cosmetology or esthetician program and any coursework required to obtain/maintain applicable licenses.
