Sephora in Milpitas, CA seeks a Licensed Beauty Advisor (Part Time) to deliver makeup, waxing and beauty services; $24.00–$27.60/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver beauty services in the Sephora Beauty Studio (makeup application, waxing and false-lash services) to meet client needs and store service targets.
- Drive sales and client retention through product recommendations, service rebooking and personalized consultations.
- Maintain current professional licensure and adhere to all health, safety and hygiene protocols while performing treatments.
- Keep up to date with product knowledge and beauty trends to educate and empower clients.
- Contribute to an inclusive, collaborative store environment and follow company policies to ensure a safe, welcoming shopping experience.
- Be reliably available for scheduled shifts including peak retail hours (nights, weekends and holidays) and meet minimum weekly hour requirements.
Qualifications
- Active state license authorizing waxing, makeup and false-eyelash application where services are performed.
- 1–3 years' experience in a similar licensed role or in retail, hospitality, or client-facing service environments (entry-level candidates with relevant licensure may be considered).
- Demonstrated ability to deliver highly personalized client service and build long-term client relationships.
- Strong knowledge of beauty products, techniques and current trends with proven ability to educate clients.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and sustain periods of standing.
- Consistent punctuality, reliable attendance and flexibility to work assigned shifts.
Skills
Experience
1–3 years in a similar licensed skincare/beauty services role or experience in retail, hospitality or a service-oriented environment; entry-level candidates with required licensure are considered.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited esthetics/cosmetology program or equivalent professional training preferred.
