Sephora Miami (FL-Design District) is hiring a Licensed Beauty Advisor (part-time) to provide makeup and waxing services and drive retail sales.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver professional beauty services (makeup application, waxing, false lash application and other services listed on the Sephora Beauty Services menu) with high hygiene and safety standards.
- Drive revenue by selling product assortments, rebooking beauty services and maintaining strong client conversion and retention.
- Maintain active state licensure for the services performed and comply with company health, safety and sanitation protocols.
- Provide tailored client consultations, educate customers on product benefits and application techniques, and build lasting client relationships.
- Support a collaborative, inclusive team environment and adhere to Sephora operational standards and store policies.
- Work a flexible schedule including peak retail hours, nights, weekends and holidays; meet the required minimum number of weekly shifts/hours for part-time status.
Qualifications
- Active state license to perform waxing, makeup and false eyelash application in the state where services will be performed.
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar beauty, retail, hospitality or service role; entry-level candidates with strong licensure and client-service aptitude may be considered.
- Demonstrated product knowledge across makeup and skincare trends, techniques and retail assortments.
- Proven ability to deliver personalised client service and to build long-term relationships.
- Team-oriented mindset, punctuality and reliable attendance.
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Experience
Typically 1–3 years of customer-facing experience in beauty, retail, or service environments; entry-level candidates with appropriate licensure and strong client-service skills may be considered.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of cosmetology, esthetician, or related training preferred and supportive of required licensure.
