Sephora in Metairie, LA is hiring a Licensed Beauty Advisor (full-time) to provide makeup, waxing and beauty services. $19.80–$22.90/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver professional beauty services in-store according to Sephora’s Beauty Services menu, including makeup application, waxing and false-lash application.
- Drive sales and service revenue by selling products, rebooking services, and maintaining strong client relationships through personalised consultations.
- Maintain active professional licensure for services performed and ensure strict adherence to hygiene, health and safety protocols.
- Demonstrate up-to-date product knowledge and beauty trend expertise to educate and inspire clients.
- Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive store culture and uphold company policies to ensure a safe, welcoming shopping experience.
- Be available for scheduled shifts during peak retail hours (nights, weekends and holidays) and meet required weekly hours for full-time status.
Qualifications
- Active, state-recognised license to provide waxing, makeup, and false-lash services in the state where services are performed.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in a beauty services role or experience in retail, hospitality, or service-oriented environments.
- Proven ability to deliver personalised client service and build repeat clientele.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform standing work for retail service shifts.
- Reliable availability for a full-time schedule (30–40 hours/week) including nights, weekends and holidays.
Skills
Experience
1–3 years of experience in a beauty services role or comparable experience in retail, hospitality or customer service environments, with demonstrated client-facing results.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a cosmetology, esthetician or related programme and state licensure preferred.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 19.80 to USD 22.90 per hour.
