Sephora Manhattan Beach is hiring a Licensed Beauty Advisor (Part-time) to deliver makeup and waxing services. $24–$29.40/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver professional beauty services from Sephora’s Beauty Services menu, including makeup application, waxing and false eyelash application.
- Achieve individual and store goals through product sales, service bookings and client rebooking.
- Provide personalized client consultations to educate clients on products, techniques and routines.
- Maintain active state licensure and strictly adhere to health, safety and sanitation protocols.
- Support an inclusive, collaborative store culture and uphold Sephora’s retail standards and policies.
- Be available for flexible scheduling and reliably work peak retail hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
Qualifications
- Active state license permitting waxing, makeup and false eyelash services in the state where services are performed.
- 1–3 years’ experience in a similar role or in retail, hospitality or client-facing service environments preferred.
- Demonstrable knowledge of beauty products, trends and service techniques.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality, personalized client service and build lasting client relationships.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.

Experience
Typically 1–3 years in a beauty services role or a retail/hospitality environment; candidates with entry-level experience plus an active cosmetology/esthetician license will be considered.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited cosmetology or esthetician program preferred and required where state licensure mandates formal training.
