Sephora is hiring a Licensed Beauty Advisor (Part Time) in Manhasset, NY — $24.00–$27.50/hr to provide makeup, waxing and client services.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver professional beauty services including makeup application, waxing and false-lash application according to Sephora’s Beauty Services menu.
- Drive sales and service revenue by consulting clients, recommending products, rebooking services and achieving individual and store performance targets.
- Maintain active professional licensure and adhere to all health, safety and sanitation protocols.
- Provide personalized client consultations to educate and empower shoppers, building long-term client relationships and loyalty.
- Support an inclusive, team-focused environment and comply with company policies to ensure a safe and enjoyable in-store experience.
- Maintain flexible availability to cover required minimum weekly shifts and peak retail hours (nights, weekends, holidays).
Qualifications
- Active state license to perform waxing, makeup and false-lash application in the jurisdiction where services are provided.
- 1–3 years of experience in beauty services, retail, hospitality or a comparable client-facing environment.
- Demonstrated product knowledge across skincare, cosmetics and beauty trends and the ability to convey that knowledge to clients.
- Reliable availability for required weekly shifts and peak retail periods; punctuality and consistent attendance.
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform duties for extended periods on the sales floor.
Skills
Experience
1–3 years of customer-facing experience in beauty services, retail, hospitality or a related service environment; prior experience performing makeup and waxing services preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; formal cosmetology or esthetician training required where applicable to obtain and maintain licensure.
