Sephora Los Angeles (Ovation Hollywood) seeks a Licensed Beauty Advisor (Part‑time) to provide makeup, waxing and retail services. $24.00–$29.40/hr.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Deliver professional beauty services at the Beauty Studio — including makeup application, waxing and false‑lash application — in line with Sephora’s services menu.
  • Drive sales and service-related KPIs by recommending products, rebooking appointments and converting service clients into retail customers.
  • Maintain active professional licensure and strictly uphold health, safety and sanitation protocols.
  • Provide personalized client consultations, build lasting client relationships and educate clients on products and routines.
  • Support store operations and Sephora standards: follow company policies, assist teammates, and contribute to a welcoming, inclusive shopping environment.
  • Work a flexible schedule that covers peak retail hours (nights, weekends and holidays) and meet the minimum weekly shift requirement for part‑time roles.

Qualifications

  • Current, active state license valid for performing waxing, makeup and false‑eyelash application in the state of California.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in a beauty services role or in retail, hospitality or customer service.
  • Strong knowledge of beauty products, trends, techniques and service protocols.
  • Proven ability to deliver tailored client service and drive retail/service results.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality with availability for nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Experience
