Role & Responsibilities

• Drive revenue and achieve store performance targets by recommending products, rebooking beauty services, and upselling within client consultations
• Deliver professional makeup application, waxing, and lash services consistent with Sephora's Beauty Services menu and quality standards
• Educate clients on beauty products, trends, techniques, and application methods to empower informed purchasing decisions
• Maintain active professional licensure and adhere rigorously to health, safety, and hygiene protocols
• Cultivate an inclusive, supportive team environment that celebrates diversity and promotes psychological safety
• Uphold Sephora brand standards, company policies, and loss-prevention procedures to ensure a secure and welcoming shopping experience
• Meet minimum weekly hour requirements and demonstrate reliability during peak retail hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Qualifications

• Active license to provide waxing, makeup application, and false lash services in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• 1–3 years of professional experience in beauty services, retail, hospitality, or customer-facing service roles
• Demonstrated expertise in beauty products, treatments, trends, and application techniques
• Proven ability to build rapport, deliver personalized consultations, and establish lasting client relationships
• Strong collaborative skills and comfort working within goal-oriented team structures
• Capacity to quickly absorb and articulate product information and technical knowledge
• Physical ability to safely lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds

Skills

Experience

1–3 years in a similar beauty services, retail, or hospitality role. Entry-level candidates with relevant licensing and demonstrated passion for beauty may be considered.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; state-issued beauty, esthetician, or cosmetology license (active and valid in Massachusetts)

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 19.80 to USD 22.90 per hour.
