Sephora in Baton Rouge seeks a Licensed Beauty Advisor (part‑time) to provide makeup and waxing services at Mall of Louisiana. $19.80–$22.90/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver professional beauty services at the Beauty Studio, including makeup application, waxing, and false eyelash application according to Sephora’s service menu.
- Drive commercial results by selling products, rebooking beauty services, and contributing to store sales targets.
- Maintain and present an active, state‑required cosmetology/esthetician license and adhere to all hygiene, safety, and sanitation protocols.
- Provide personalised client consultations and build lasting client relationships through expert product recommendations and follow‑up.
- Support an inclusive, collaborative store culture by participating in team initiatives and upholding Sephora’s customer service standards.
- Demonstrate schedule reliability by meeting weekly shift minimums and being available for peak retail hours (nights, weekends, holidays).
Qualifications
- Active license to perform waxing, makeup application, and false eyelash application in the state of Louisiana.
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar licensed role or in retail, hospitality, or service environments.
- Strong knowledge of beauty products, services, trends, and professional techniques.
- Proven ability to deliver personalised client service and to build lasting client relationships.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a goal‑oriented team and to adapt quickly to product and service updates.
- Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and to stand for extended periods.
Skills
Experience
1–3 years in a licensed beauty services role or equivalent experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service environments, with demonstrated client consultation and sales results.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; completion of cosmetology, esthetics, or related training and state licensure required.
