Sephora seeks a part-time Licensed Beauty Advisor in Alhambra, CA. Hourly, $24–$27.60/hr, benefits included.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform makeup, waxing, and other beauty services as listed in Sephora's Beauty Services menu
- Drive revenue through service provision, rebooking, and product sales to achieve store goals
- Educate and empower clients with current beauty trends and comprehensive product knowledge
- Maintain active professional licensure and uphold all health, safety, and hygiene protocols
- Build lasting client relationships through personalized, service-driven interactions
- Foster inclusiveness and collaboration within the store team
- Meet minimum weekly shift requirements (15–29 hours for part-time positions)
- Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance, including availability during peak retail hours and holidays
Qualifications
- Active state license to provide waxing, makeup application, and false lash services
- 1–3 years of experience in a beauty-related role, retail environment, hospitality, or similar customer service position
- Strong knowledge of beauty products, services, techniques, and current trends
- Demonstrated ability to deliver personalized client service and build lasting relationships
- Team player mentality with ability to thrive in collaborative, goal-oriented environments
- Quick learner capable of absorbing and sharing product knowledge effectively
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Skills
Experience
1–3 years of experience in a beauty-related role, retail environment, hospitality, or similar customer service position. Beginner-level candidates with relevant beauty training or licensure are encouraged to apply.
Education
Active professional license for waxing, makeup application, and false lash services as required by the State of California. Completion of an accredited esthetician or beauty services training program is typically required to obtain this licensure.
