Role & Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of enterprise analytical solutions and BI platforms, translating business requirements into scalable technical architectures.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL/data pipelines and data models to feed reporting and analytics using Databricks, ADF/ETL tools, and related Big Data technologies.
- Build and maintain reporting capabilities (Tableau, Cognos, SSAS Cubes, ThoughtSpot) and monitor BI system performance for efficient data retrieval and reporting.
- Drive data quality and cost-efficiency initiatives, implementing controls to ensure accuracy of data, dashboards, and reports while optimizing compute and storage costs.
- Partner with Data Science, Machine Learning, analytics, product, and business stakeholders to provision data for model development, operationalization, and evaluation.
- Champion adoption of AI-assisted development tools and build/integrate AI/ML-powered features and agentic workflows into production data applications.
- Design and implement RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) pipelines and integrations with vector databases and retrieval frameworks.
- Manage vendor relationships to assess architectural impact and ensure alignment with the enterprise data platform strategy.
- Mentor and upskill engineering team members, fostering a high-performance engineering culture and documenting technical designs and source-to-target mappings.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or another quantitative field.
- 8+ years of software development and deployment experience with business intelligence tools and data engineering.
- 8+ years of experience in BI and data warehousing, including strong mastery of SQL, data modeling, and streaming/big-data patterns.
- 2+ years hands-on experience building or integrating AI/ML-powered features and agentic workflows in production applications.
- Proven experience writing technical design documentation, source-to-target mappings, and managing Confluence pages; converting business functionality into Jira stories.
- Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and lead cross-functional delivery with excellent stakeholder communication and storytelling skills.
