Sephora Auckland seeks an Inventory Controller (Stockroom Manager) to lead back-of-house operations and inventory control for its retail store.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day back-of-house store operations, ensuring stockroom organisation, security and compliance with company procedures.
- Plan, schedule and execute cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy and minimise out-of-stocks.
- Manage returns, obsolete stock processing and stock reconciliations in a timely and auditable manner across the store network.
- Lead, coach and supervise back-of-house team members; set standards and lead by example to influence performance at all levels.
- Use time- and planning-tools to prioritise tasks and meet operational KPIs linked to store performance.
- Complete and maintain required paperwork and records for inventory control and internal audit purposes.
- Collaborate closely with Assistant Store Manager, Store Manager and internal stakeholders to support store objectives.
- Work a rostered schedule, including weekends, early starts and late finishes, to ensure operational coverage.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a stock-based role within a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment.
- Proven supervisory experience with the ability to lead, motivate and develop small teams.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and competent numeracy for inventory reconciliation.
- High level of physical fitness and ability to lift and shift boxes up to 15 kg regularly.
- Strong communication skills, high emotional intelligence and demonstrable ability to influence peers and leaders.
- Flexible to work rostered shifts including weekends and extended hours.

Experience
Minimum of 3 years' experience in a stock-focused role within fast-paced, high-volume retail; supervisory experience preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; certificate or tertiary study in logistics, supply chain, retail operations or a related discipline is desirable.
