Sephora North York is hiring an Interim Lead at Marketplace Thornhill. Full‑time retail leadership role, CAD$22.20–26.10/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and motivate the store team to deliver exemplary client service and achieve sales targets through coaching and role-modeling
- Drive client engagement and personalised product recommendations using expert product knowledge and loyalty-program execution
- Coach for growth by providing regular feedback, performance reviews, and on-the-floor training to elevate individual and team capability
- Support onboarding and continuous learning initiatives, ensuring teams are proficient in service standards and brand initiatives
- Oversee daily store operations including inventory control, visual merchandising standards, and compliance with company policies
- Promote an inclusive team culture that fosters collaboration, accountability and a positive shopping environment
- Maintain punctuality and reliability in scheduling; be available for peak retail hours including nights, weekends and holidays
Qualifications
- Minimum 2–3 years of leadership experience in retail, hospitality or a client-facing service environment
- Proven ability to coach, develop and inspire teams to meet sales and service objectives
- Strong commercial mindset with demonstrable sales and client service results
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment; adaptable and quick to learn product knowledge
- Physically able to lift and carry merchandise up to 50 pounds
Skills
Experience
Minimum 2–3 years of leadership experience in a retail, hospitality, or service environment with a proven track record of coaching teams and achieving sales targets.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in business, retail management or hospitality is an asset.

This position is based in North York, Ontario, Canada, within easy reach of Toronto.
Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 22.20 to CAD 26.10 per hour.
