Human Resources Specialist at Sephora Distribution Center, Las Vegas, NV—$26–$29/hr. Support employee lifecycle, benefits, compliance, and DC operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Administer workers' compensation claims, leave of absence requests, and accommodation requests, maintaining clear communication throughout employee transitions
  • Provide comprehensive employee support on benefits, open enrollment, and general HR inquiries, escalating complex matters appropriately
  • Extract data from multiple systems and generate regularly scheduled and on-demand reports to support operations and HR strategy
  • Conduct periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure complete documentation, proper filing, and regulatory compliance
  • Process employee status changes including internal transfers, terminations, and promotions while maintaining accurate employee data
  • Collaborate with Medical Review Officer (MRO) on post-accident and pre-employment screening processes
  • Ensure timely processing of I-9 reverification and maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment law changes and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with new hire orientation sessions, internal communications, employee recognition programs, and culture initiatives
  • Support payroll processing and resolve daily timekeeping inquiries to maintain operational continuity

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of human resources experience, preferably in a distribution center or manufacturing environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS platforms (e.g., Dayforce and SharePoint)
  • Thorough knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law and regulations
  • Ability to maintain integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in all HR matters
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines with limited supervision
