Role & Responsibilities

  • Administer leave programs and serve as a primary contact for workers' compensation; manage documentation, follow-up and return-to-work coordination.
  • Process and support Leave of Absence and reasonable accommodation requests while maintaining clear, confidential communication with associates.
  • Support benefits administration and open enrollment inquiries; escalate complex benefits issues and partner with HR leadership and vendors as necessary.
  • Manage unemployment claims, compile supporting documentation and track claims to resolution.
  • Extract HR data from multiple systems to produce scheduled and ad hoc operational reports; maintain HR record accuracy and conduct periodic file audits.
  • Process employee lifecycle changes including internal moves, terminations and status updates while ensuring data integrity in HRIS.
  • Collaborate with medical review operations (MRO) for post-accident and pre-employment screening; ensure timely I-9 reverifications.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment laws, regulatory changes and HR best practices to support compliance and policy recommendations.
  • Deliver frontline HR support for policy, payroll and timekeeping questions; assist with new-hire orientation, employee communications, recognition programs and engagement initiatives.
  • Perform additional HR-related duties as assigned to support distribution center operations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum two years of hands-on human resources experience, preferably within a distribution center, warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and experienced with HRIS platforms (experience with Dayforce and SharePoint is preferred).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and of leave administration, workers' compensation and I-9 compliance.
  • Proven ability to handle confidential matters with integrity and professionalism.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities with limited supervision.
  • Analytical problem-solver with sound decision-making capabilities and an ability to produce accurate operational reports.
  • Flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced environment; willingness to work designated shifts and overtime as operational needs require.

Experience
