Role & Responsibilities
- Administer leave programs, serve as point of contact for workers' compensation claims and manage accommodation and return-to-work processes.
- Manage unemployment claims, compile supporting documentation and track claim resolution.
- Process employment status changes (hires, internal movements, terminations) and maintain accurate employee data in HR systems.
- Extract data from HR systems and produce scheduled and ad-hoc reports to support operations and HR decision-making.
- Conduct periodic HR file and record audits to ensure regulatory and policy compliance.
- Support I-9 reverification, post-accident and pre-employment screening in coordination with MRO vendors.
- Provide frontline employee support for policies, benefits, payroll and timekeeping; escalate complex issues as needed.
- Assist with new hire orientation, internal communications, employee recognition and engagement initiatives.
- Support payroll processing and daily timekeeping inquiries; perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of progressive human resources experience, preferably in a distribution center or manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and HR best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to handle confidential matters with integrity and professionalism.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, and proven interpersonal, negotiation and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines with limited supervision.
- Flexibility to work designated shifts and overtime as operational needs require.

Experience
At least 2 years of related HR experience, with a preference for candidates who have supported HR functions within a distribution center, warehouse or manufacturing facility.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field preferred.
