Role & Responsibilities

  • Act as primary HR contact for the Avon distribution center, managing employee relations escalations, investigations, disciplinary actions, and unemployment hearings.
  • Coach and advise site leaders on performance management, corrective action, and consistent application of HR policies.
  • Support the full employee lifecycle from recruitment through separation, including onboarding, development, succession planning, and exit interviews.
  • Partner with operations and safety teams on incident follow‑through and accommodation planning with Accessibility & Inclusion partners.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, leverage HR analytics to identify trends (turnover, absenteeism, engagement) and provide data‑driven recommendations to business leaders.
  • Facilitate employee engagement initiatives, shift‑start and productivity meetings, and local HR projects to improve morale and retention.
  • Administer workforce planning activities and maintain talent pools for supervisory and coordinator roles.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3+ years of professional Human Resources experience, preferably within a distribution center or manufacturing environment.
  • PHR or SHRM certification preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations and advising managers on performance and disciplinary matters.
  • Proven ability to analyze HR metrics and translate insights into actionable plans for leaders.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, conflict‑resolution, and coaching skills.
  • Flexible availability to work 3rd shift (onsite at Avon, IN), nights/weekends and overtime as operational needs require; minimal travel for trainings.

Experience
