Sephora seeks a Human Resources Specialist for the Las Vegas Distribution Center with 2+ years HR experience and HRIS proficiency; weekend shift, $27.29-$30.50/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Administer leave of absence requests, workers' compensation claims, and accommodation processes, ensuring compliance and seamless employee transitions
- Manage unemployment claims and track documentation to resolution
- Extract data from HR systems and prepare scheduled and on-demand reports for operations and HR teams
- Conduct periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure completeness and proper filing
- Process employee changes including internal movements, terminations, and status updates
- Collaborate with Medical Review Officers on post-accident and pre-employment screening processes
- Support I-9 reverification and maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations
- Provide general HR support regarding policies, benefits, hiring processes, and payroll inquiries
- Assist with new hire orientation sessions and internal communication initiatives
- Maintain accurate employee data and stay current with HR trends, regulatory changes, and best practices
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of human resources experience, preferably in a distribution center or manufacturing facility
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems such as Dayforce and SharePoint
- Ability to quickly learn organizational HRIS and talent management systems
- Thorough knowledge of current employment-related laws and regulations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution abilities
- Excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines with limited supervision
