Role & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Head of HR and Leadership team on people-related matters.
  • Provide comprehensive HR advice to employees within the allocated region.
  • Interpret and draft HR policies, ensuring compliance and clarity.
  • Champion the use of HRIS for efficient data management and reporting.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employee-related queries.
  • Drive employee communication and engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure accuracy and maintenance of employee-related data.
  • Assist in the delivery and coordination of people-focused initiatives.
  • Support the Head of HR in implementing HR projects.
  • Provide payroll backup support when necessary.
  • Manage WHS claims and act as the Return to Work Coordinator.
  • Conduct reporting on people trends and engagement surveys.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of HR generalist experience.
  • Proficiency in HRIS data management and reporting systems.
  • Sound knowledge of the Fair Work Act and WHS regulations.
  • Experience in fast-paced, dynamic environments similar to retail.

Skills

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work towards deadlines. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for HR and curiosity about the retail industry.

Experience

A minimum of 3 years in a generalist HR role, preferably within a similar fast-paced industry.
