Sephora — Central Jakarta: General Ledger Accountant role (permanent, hybrid) supporting SEA finance and reporting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries and perform detailed account reconciliations for general ledger balances, including fixed assets, inventory and accrual accounts.
- Ensure all transactions and reporting are prepared in accordance with IFRS and Group accounting policies.
- Execute month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close activities and deliver timely management reporting to required deadlines.
- Prepare audit schedules, coordinate responses to audit inquiries and support external and internal audits.
- Prepare statutory compliance submissions (audit, tax and secretarial) and ensure adherence to local statutory requirements.
- Maintain and enforce controls over fixed asset registers and vendor listings in line with Group Internal Control Policies.
- Own assigned finance processes within Shared Services and liaise with internal stakeholders to resolve accounting queries and improve controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA/CA qualification preferred.
- 1–3 years of accounting experience; experience in a Big Four firm or in retail/omnichannel finance is advantageous.
- Fluent English (professional working proficiency).
- Advanced Excel skills; proven experience with a large ERP such as SAP.
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.

1–3 years of professional accounting experience, preferably with exposure to Big Four audit or corporate accounting in a retail or omnichannel environment; demonstrable experience in month‑end close, reconciliations and audit support.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CPA/CA preferred.
