Sephora UK seeks a Forecasting Manager - Strategic Projects in London to lead commercial forecasting and omnichannel sales analysis. Full-time, hybrid role.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial forecasting and analysis across strategic business projects, ensuring alignment with trading plans and key business initiatives
  • Build sales forecasts by brand and channel in collaboration with Retail, Finance, and Category teams, incorporating assumptions on traffic, conversion, and basket size
  • Develop daily, monthly, and full-year forecasts that support strategic decision-making and operational planning
  • Translate sales forecasts into operational order forecasts to enable Supply Chain teams to plan labor and capacity effectively
  • Present forecasts and commercial insights to senior leadership, articulating sales and margin expectations, key risks, opportunities, and required decisions
  • Collaborate on margin forecasts by channel, providing guidance on promotional strategy, loyalty offers, redemptions, and code usage to achieve financial targets
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis to identify commercial insights and support strategic decision-making across the business
  • Partner with Business Intelligence to develop a holistic view of campaign performance and optimize trading activity across all channels
  • Collaborate with Finance on budgeting, strategic planning, and in-year forecasting cycles
  • Analyze retail productivity performance and share actionable insights with Category teams to drive improvements
  • Support wider forecasting, reporting, and analytical projects as required

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in forecasting, merchandising, planning, or similar commercial analytics role, ideally within an omni-channel retail environment
  • Strong commercial acumen with deep understanding of trading performance and key business KPIs
  • Advanced analytical skills with ability to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into meaningful actions
  • Experience using forecasting, planning, and reporting tools to support commercial decision-making
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with experience influencing decisions at all organizational levels
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with ability to articulate insights and recommendations clearly
  • Track record of partnering effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver shared business objectives
