Sephora seeks an Accounts Payable Accountant in Saran, France. 18-month fixed-term hybrid role managing European subsidiary payables and fixed assets, reporting to the European Accounting Department.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor accounts payable ledger for multiple European subsidiaries within the European Accounting Department
- Ensure compliance and reliability of accounting operations related to purchasing, invoicing, and payments
- Review and post Direct Purchasing and Capital Expenditure supplier invoices in compliance with accounting, tax regulations, and purchasing commitments
- Monitor approval workflows and ensure processing deadlines are met
- Follow up on supplier disputes in coordination with the Supply Chain team
- Review and control payment runs and monitor supplier account reconciliations
- Review and validate purchase requisitions related to fixed assets, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and IFRS 16 requirements
- Create and maintain fixed asset master records in SAP
- Process capital expenditure invoices and ensure accurate accounting and cost allocation
- Perform asset capitalization activities in coordination with operational teams
- Monitor asset movements, transfers, and participate in fixed asset closing activities
- Monitor accruals and provisions in collaboration with local Controlling teams
- Review balances of accounts payable-related accounts and resolve discrepancies
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in the deployment of innovative automation solutions
Qualifications
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (minimum Bac +2/3 or equivalent higher education)
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills
- Strong analytical abilities and proactive mindset

- Solid knowledge of accounting principles

Experience
Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounts payable or similar accounting role, ideally within a multinational or European organization

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Bac +2/3 minimum)
