Equipment Operator role at Sephora's Mississippi Distribution Center. Full-time warehouse position operating material handling equipment, $20.40–$21.85/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Operate various types of motorized and manual material handling equipment safely and efficiently to process orders and support warehouse operations
- Obtain and maintain required certifications in safe operation of different material handling equipment types and battery changing procedures
- Operate RF terminals to support company operating systems and maintain accurate inventory control procedures
- Maintain compliance with all Company, state, and OSHA safety rules, policies, and regulations, including proper work attire and reporting of safety violations
- Meet established company safety, production, and service level standards consistently
- Maintain regular and acceptable attendance and work flexible schedules including assigned shifts and overtime as operational needs dictate
- Respond proactively to direction from leadership including Shift Coordinators and management personnel
- Provide high-quality internal and external customer service per company standards
- Cross-train in other non-equipment operator job classifications as needed
- Assist Maintenance with projects requiring motorized material handling equipment support
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License with clean motor vehicle record
- Ability to obtain required DOT certifications
- Ability to stand, sit, squat, lift, and walk for extended periods during scheduled shifts
- Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Comfort working at heights of up to 32 feet when operating Reach Truck and similar equipment
- Strong motor coordination skills for safe equipment operation in confined spaces
- Detail-oriented mindset with flexibility to handle multiple priorities
- Positive and enthusiastic demeanor with ability to work effectively in team environments
Skills
Experience
Previous experience operating material handling equipment in a warehouse or distribution center environment is preferred. Familiarity with conventional distribution picking, packing, put-away, and replenishment procedures and processes is advantageous.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
