Role & Responsibilities

  • Operate motorized and manual material handling equipment including powered industrial trucks, walkie riders, hand jacks, and carts to process orders and support warehouse operations
  • Obtain and maintain required certifications in the safe operation of various material handling equipment and battery changing procedures
  • Operate RF terminals to support company operating systems and inventory control procedures
  • Meet established company safety, production, and service level standards while following all OSHA, state, and company safety rules and policies
  • Report safety violations and potential hazards to appropriate supervisory or management personnel
  • Maintain flexible work schedule and work designated shifts and overtime as requested per business needs
  • Provide high-quality internal and external customer service per company standards
  • Cross-train in other warehouse job classifications and assist Maintenance team as needed
  • Maintain regular and acceptable attendance with reliable and punctual performance

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license with clean motor vehicle record
  • Ability to obtain DOT certifications as required for the role
  • Familiarity with conventional distribution picking, packing, put-away, and replenishment procedures
  • Strong motor coordination skills and ability to operate equipment safely in tight quarters
  • Ability to stand, sit, squat, lift, and walk for the duration of scheduled shifts
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Comfortable working at heights up to 32 feet when operating reach trucks and other warehouse equipment
  • Detail-oriented and flexible to change with ability to handle multiple priorities

Experience
