Role & Responsibilities

  • Operate a variety of motorized and manual material handling equipment, including powered industrial trucks, walkie riders, and hand jacks.
  • Attain required certification for the safe operation of material handling equipment and battery changing procedures.
  • Process orders using equipment and perform tasks as directed by management.
  • Meet established safety, production, and service level standards.
  • Operate RF terminals to support company operating systems and inventory control procedures.
  • Adhere to all safety rules, policies, and regulations, reporting any violations to supervisory personnel.
  • Comply with Loss Prevention policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular attendance and a flexible work schedule, including overtime as needed.
  • Provide high-quality internal and external customer service.
  • Cross-train in other non-equipment operator job classifications.
  • Assist Maintenance with projects requiring motorized equipment support.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience operating equipment in a warehouse environment preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean motor vehicle record.
  • Familiarity with conventional distribution picking, packing, put-away, and replenishment procedures.

Skills

Strong motor coordination skills for safe equipment operation. Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple priorities. Positive and enthusiastic demeanor. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Capability to obtain required DOT certifications.

Experience

Beginner level experience in warehouse equipment operation is preferred.
