Equipment Operator position at Sephora Distribution Center in Avon, IN. Full-time warehouse role operating material handling equipment, $21.50–$23.00/hr.
Role & Responsibilities
- Operate motorized and manual material handling equipment (powered industrial trucks, walkie riders, hand jacks, carts) to process orders and support warehouse operations
- Obtain and maintain required certifications for safe operation of various types of material handling equipment and battery changing procedures
- Meet established company safety, production, and service level standards; operate RF terminals in support of company operating systems and inventory control
- Follow all Company, state, and OSHA safety rules, policies, and regulations; report safety violations and potential hazards to supervisory personnel
- Maintain regular and acceptable attendance, work flexible schedules, and accommodate assigned shifts and overtime as operational needs dictate
- Provide high-quality internal and external customer service per company standards and respond proactively to direction from shift coordinators and management
- Cross-train in other non-equipment operator job classifications and assist maintenance personnel on projects requiring motorized material handling equipment support
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean motor vehicle record
- Ability to obtain and maintain DOT certifications as required
- Familiarity with conventional distribution picking, packing, put-away, and replenishment procedures and processes
- Previous warehouse equipment operation experience preferred
- Strong motor coordination skills to operate equipment safely in confined spaces
- Ability to stand, sit, squat, and lift for the full duration of the scheduled shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights up to 32 feet when operating reach trucks and other warehouse equipment
- Comfortable wearing safety harness/lanyard and appropriate safety footwear
Skills
Experience
Previous experience operating equipment in a warehouse environment is preferred. Entry-level candidates with strong motor coordination and a willingness to obtain required certifications will be considered.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; no formal education requirement specified.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 21.50 to USD 23 per hour.
