Role & Responsibilities
- Operate a variety of motorized and manual material handling equipment to process orders and support warehouse operations
- Attain and maintain required certifications in the safe operation of material handling equipment and battery-changing procedures
- Operate RF terminals in support of company operating systems and inventory control procedures
- Follow all Company, state, and OSHA safety rules, policies, and regulations; report safety violations to supervisory personnel
- Meet established company safety, production, and service level standards
- Maintain regular and acceptable attendance and adhere to flexible work scheduling requirements
- Comply with all Company Loss Prevention policies and procedures
- Provide high-quality internal and external customer service per company standards
- Cross-train in other non-equipment operator job classifications
- Assist Maintenance as needed on projects requiring motorized material handling equipment support
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with a clean motor vehicle record
- Ability to obtain all job-required DOT certifications
- Familiarity with conventional distribution picking, packing, put-away, and replenishment procedures
- Ability to work at heights up to thirty-two feet when operating Reach Trucks and similar equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Strong motor coordination skills for safe equipment operation in tight quarters
Skills
Experience
Previous experience operating equipment in a warehouse environment is preferred. Entry-level candidates with strong foundational skills and willingness to obtain required certifications will be considered.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent preferred; specific certifications in material handling equipment operation required as a condition of employment.
