Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective asset protection strategies to reduce losses across high-volume stores within the assigned district
  • Analyze asset protection activities and loss reduction performance to identify improvement opportunities
  • Partner with store management and supervisory teams to resolve loss prevention issues through collaborative action plans
  • Oversee store audits focused on operational excellence and asset protection program compliance
  • Organize and conduct training sessions for store personnel and management on loss awareness and asset protection best practices
  • Monitor compliance with established asset protection and operational procedures across all store locations
  • Investigate suspected dishonesty, fraud, and criminal activity using incident reports, video surveillance systems, and internal investigation resources
  • Interview store personnel and secure confessions in accordance with company protocols
  • Develop investigation files and pursue criminal prosecution when warranted
  • Ensure all asset protection systems and programs remain fully operational and properly maintained, including CCTV systems, alarms, and locks
  • Recruit, train, and manage in-store asset protection team members and supervisors; conduct regular team meetings and one-on-ones to foster goal achievement and growth
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with store partners, district managers, and human resources teams
  • Collaborate with teams to ensure flawless execution of annual or bi-annual physical inventory audits
  • Perform root cause analysis before and after inventory for each store to evaluate results and loss reduction performance
  • Develop year-over-year loss reduction plans based on inventory findings

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years of asset protection or loss prevention experience in multi-unit retail environments
  • Excellent management and leadership skills capable of collaborating effectively with store management, personnel, and cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated experience handling sensitive and confidential asset protection matters with discretion and ethics
  • Knowledge of civil and criminal law and its application to retail environments
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including interviewing and interpersonal effectiveness
  • Outstanding organizational, analytical, and audit competencies
  • Ability to clearly and concisely formulate plans, policies, and procedures
  • Capability to travel regularly throughout the assigned district (approximately 80% of the role, with a target of visiting stores 4 days per week both locally and outside the city)
  • Proficiency with business technology including asset protection applications, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and store management systems
  • Official training and Wicklander-Zulawski certification
  • Ability to work in a fragrant environment
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
