Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute asset protection strategies aimed at reducing shrink across assigned district, with particular focus on high-shrink locations
- Analyze asset protection metrics and shrink performance data to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective action plans
- Oversee store evaluations and operational excellence programs in collaboration with district and store management
- Conduct comprehensive training sessions for employees and leadership teams on shrink awareness, shoplifting deterrence, and internal loss prevention
- Investigate indications of internal dishonesty, fraud, and criminal activity; conduct interviews with employees and develop investigative cases in accordance with company procedures
- Ensure full operational status and regular maintenance of all store asset protection systems, including CCTV, alarm systems, and access controls
- Recruit, train, manage, and develop Asset Protection Partners and Team Leads; facilitate regular team meetings and one-on-one coaching sessions
- Establish and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with District Managers, Human Resources, and field leadership partners
- Collaborate with relevant teams to execute physical inventories; conduct root cause analysis and develop year-over-year shrink reduction plans
- Monitor employee compliance with all asset protection policies and operational procedures; ensure consistent implementation of company safeguards
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of progressive asset protection or loss prevention experience in a multi-unit retail environment
- Formal training and certification in Wicklander-Zulawski interview techniques
- Strong management and leadership capabilities with proven ability to collaborate across organizational levels
- Proven track record of handling sensitive asset protection issues ethically and demonstrating proactive loss prevention mindset
- Demonstrated understanding of criminal and civil law as applied to retail operations
- Proficiency with asset protection applications, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and store management systems
- Capability to work in a fragrance-filled environment
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experience
