Sephora in San Juan, Puerto Rico is hiring a District Asset Protection Manager to lead loss prevention across multiple stores (annual salary $99,025–$110,675).

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute district‑level asset protection strategies to reduce shrink and drive sustainable operational improvement across multiple stores.
  • Identify, assess and mitigate safety, theft and fraud risks in partnership with store and corporate leadership; provide targeted support to high‑shrink and high‑risk locations.
  • Recruit, hire, train and inspire Asset Protection Partners; build a culture of accountability, continuous learning and high performance.
  • Design, deliver and monitor training programs for store teams and asset protection staff focused on shrink reduction, safety, audits and loss prevention best practices.
  • Conduct regular store visits, audits and assessments to ensure compliance with asset protection policies, procedures and standards.
  • Lead and oversee investigations into shrink, internal theft, fraud and criminal activity, ensuring ethical, discreet and legally compliant outcomes.
  • Leverage exception‑based reporting and analytics to identify trends, quantify risk and recommend proactive interventions.
  • Ensure operational effectiveness and proper use of asset protection systems, including CCTV, alarm systems and physical security measures.
  • Cultivate relationships with law enforcement, mall security, property management and retail partners to support Organized Retail Crime (ORC) initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Store Leadership, Human Resources and corporate teams to resolve asset protection matters and refine policies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of multi‑unit asset protection or loss prevention experience in a retail environment or equivalent leadership experience.
  • Proven investigative experience handling sensitive and confidential matters with discretion and integrity.
  • Demonstrated crisis and incident management capability; able to lead responses to emergencies and high‑risk situations.
  • Proven ability to recruit, coach and develop teams and to influence store leadership and cross‑functional partners.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using data and exception reporting to drive risk mitigation strategies.
  • Solid organizational, planning and decision‑making skills in fast‑paced, multi‑site operations.
  • Familiarity with criminal and civil law applications in a retail context.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 75% (local, overnight and out‑of‑town travel) and to be based in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
  • Comfort working in a fragrance‑filled retail environment.

Experience

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 99,025 to USD 110,675 per annum.
