Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute district-wide asset protection strategies to reduce shrink and drive sustainable operational improvement across all locations
- Identify and resolve safety and profit risks in partnership with store and corporate leadership, providing focused support to high-shrink and high-risk locations
- Recruit, hire, train, and develop Asset Protection Partners across the district, fostering a culture of accountability, learning, and performance
- Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for Asset Protection Partners and store teams focused on safety, shrink reduction, audits, and best practices
- Conduct regular store visits, audits, and assessments to ensure adherence to asset protection standards, policies, and procedures
- Lead and oversee investigations into shrink, internal theft, fraud, and criminal activity with discretion and integrity
- Utilize exception-based reporting and analytical tools to identify trends and mitigate internal and external theft
- Ensure asset protection systems—including CCTV, alarms, and locking mechanisms—are operational and properly maintained
- Build and maintain relationships with law enforcement, mall security, and retail industry partners to support Organized Retail Crime initiatives
- Partner with Store Leadership, Human Resources, and corporate teams to ensure effective resolution of asset protection matters
- Demonstrate Sephora values across all work and interactions while maintaining professional excellence
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of asset protection or loss prevention experience in a multi-unit retail environment or equivalent leadership role
- Proven expertise handling sensitive and confidential asset protection matters with discretion and integrity
- Demonstrated ability to navigate emergencies and high-risk situations effectively
- Strong ability to build, coach, and lead proactive asset protection teams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with experience presenting to senior leadership
- Ability to analyze data and trends to drive informed risk mitigation strategies
- Effective decision-making in complex and fast-paced situations
- Strong organizational, planning, and time management capabilities
- Ability to develop clear, concise plans, policies, and procedures
- Working knowledge of asset protection applications, retail store systems, and Microsoft Office
- Wicklander-Zulawski certification or other formal behavioral interview training preferred
- Understanding of criminal and civil law as it applies to the retail environment
- Ability to travel approximately 75%, including overnight and out-of-town travel
- Ability to work in a fragrance-filled retail environment

Experience
Minimum 5 years of progressive asset protection or loss prevention experience in multi-unit retail environments, with demonstrated success leading teams, managing investigations, and implementing shrink reduction initiatives. Experience with high-risk retail locations and crisis management required.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
