Sephora in Charleston, SC seeks a District Asset Protection Manager to lead multi‑unit loss prevention, investigations and shrink reduction.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Design and implement districtwide asset protection strategies to reduce shrink and sustain operational improvements across multiple retail locations.
  • Identify, assess and remediate safety, profit and fraud risks through targeted interventions and support to high‑shrink or high‑risk stores, including Extreme Shrink 2.0 locations.
  • Recruit, onboard, coach and lead a district team of Asset Protection Partners, fostering accountability, continuous learning, and performance excellence.
  • Develop and deliver training programs for store teams and Asset Protection Partners on safety, audits, shrink reduction and investigative best practices.
  • Conduct regular store visits, audits and assessments to ensure compliance with asset protection policies, procedures and systems.
  • Lead and oversee investigations into shrink, internal theft, fraud and criminal activity with discretion and adherence to legal and company standards.
  • Leverage exception‑based reporting and analytics to surface trends and drive proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure functionality and correct use of asset protection systems (CCTV, alarms, locking mechanisms) and coordinate maintenance as required.
  • Cultivate relationships with law enforcement, mall security, property management and industry partners to support Organized Retail Crime (ORC) initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Store Leadership, Human Resources and corporate teams to resolve asset protection matters and inform policy development.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of asset protection or loss prevention experience in a multi‑unit retail environment or equivalent leadership role.
  • Proven investigative experience handling sensitive theft, fraud and criminal matters with integrity and discretion.
  • Demonstrated crisis management experience and ability to lead effectively in high‑risk or emergency situations.
  • Strong leadership capability with experience hiring, developing and managing front‑line asset protection teams.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and use of exception‑based reporting to inform risk mitigation strategies.
  • Working knowledge of criminal and civil law as it pertains to retail loss prevention; experience engaging with law enforcement.
  • Ability to travel approximately 75% for local, overnight and out‑of‑town visits and to attend meetings and conferences.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership.
  • Preferred: formal behavioral interview training or certification (e.g., Wicklander‑Zulawski).

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 99,025 to USD 110,675 per annum.
