Role & Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations for an assigned department on the 2nd shift, ensuring targets for productivity, quality, safety and housekeeping are met.
• Spend the majority of shift time on the operational floor—coaching, mentoring and providing timely performance feedback to associates.
• Plan and prioritize daily work to meet timelines and prepare the incoming shift for efficient transition and start-up.
• Set and communicate clear productivity expectations and monitor KPIs; implement corrective action to achieve targets.
• Directly supervise a team of regular and temporary agency employees, including hiring recommendations and performance counseling.
• Identify and propose process improvements to increase efficiency, quality and service; collaborate with leadership to implement change.
• Administer policies and guidelines fairly; manage attendance, conduct, and performance issues with consistency and discretion.
• Drive and reinforce safety strategies, recognition and accountability to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of progressive experience in distribution center operations, preferably in a high‑tech or high‑volume DC environment.
• Minimum 2 years of people leadership experience supervising hourly associates and temporary staff.
• Proven ability to coach, develop and deliver performance feedback to drive operational results.
• Flexible availability to work nights, overnights, weekends, early mornings and holidays as business needs dictate.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend/stretch to move product, and stand/walk for the duration of the shift.
• Consistent and reliable attendance; resilience and capacity to respond to changing priorities in real time.

Skills

Experience

3–5 years in distribution center operations with at least 2 years in a frontline supervisory role in a high-volume or high‑tech DC environment.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in logistics, supply chain, business administration or a related field preferred.

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from USD 75,000 to USD 84,000 per annum.
