Sephora Canada is hiring a Director, Retention Marketing in Toronto (Hybrid) to lead Email, App Push and SMS retention and grow customer lifetime value.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own and deliver performance for retention channels (Email, App Push, SMS), meeting sales targets and engagement KPIs.
- Define and execute the retention calendar aligned with trading moments, promotions and local priorities including Quebec/French-language needs.
- Forecast and manage retention financial objectives; identify levers to achieve targets and drive ROI.
- Establish performance rhythms for monitoring, analysis and continuous optimization of retention programs.
- Partner with Analytics, Tech, Campaigns & Content, and Merchandising to convert data into strategic improvements and testing roadmaps.
- Design and optimize customer journeys across lifecycle touchpoints and accelerate strategic growth of the mobile app.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of six marketers responsible for broadcast, triggered/lifecycle, and transactional programs.
- Collaborate with US/global counterparts to ensure Canadian requirements are represented in global retention strategies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in retention marketing, CRM or lifecycle marketing across Email, App Push and SMS.
- Demonstrated track record of driving sales, engagement and lifetime value through retention channels.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication, with ability to present storytelling and insights to senior stakeholders.
- Proven cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management experience in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
- Strong analytical aptitude with experience leveraging quantitative and qualitative insights to inform strategy and testing.
- Ability to travel to the San Francisco office as business needs require.

Experience
At least 8 years of progressive experience in retention/CRM or lifecycle marketing with demonstrated leadership of retention channels (Email, App Push, SMS) and P&L/forecasting responsibility.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics or related field required; Master's degree in a relevant discipline strongly preferred.

Compensation
The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 148,600 to CAD 176,000 per annum.
