Sephora seeks a Director of Data Analytics in Paris to lead regional analytics strategy, governance, and product delivery across Europe, Middle East, and Africa.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and execute the Analytics strategy for the EME region in alignment with business priorities and Sephora's broader data transformation agenda, including partner selection and capability building
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of Analytics Products—particularly Power BI dashboards—for business teams across functions and markets, managing the impact of enterprise-wide initiatives on reporting infrastructure
- Establish and maintain high standards for analytics governance, data quality, consistency of KPIs, and reporting practices across the region
- Drive the democratization of data by expanding access to Analytics solutions, increasing business user autonomy, and embodying analytics authority across the organization
- Transition the organization from a deliverables approach to a product-centric model, treating each analytics asset as a distinct product with clear ownership, value-based feature prioritization, and usability management
- Ensure all analytics developments comply with legal and technical standards, particularly FinOps best practices, and maintain operational excellence
- Contribute actively to the development of cross-functional Data, AI & Insights offerings and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
- Anticipate future analytics requirements and define next-generation analytics capabilities, including self-service BI and scalable, innovative analytics products
- Provide strong leadership to analytics teams, building capabilities, developing talent, and fostering a culture of impact, service, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of demonstrated experience in analytics and business intelligence
- Proven ability to translate business needs into scalable analytics products and data visualization solutions
- Previous management experience leading multidisciplinary teams and coordinating delivery across multiple stakeholders
- Strong understanding of data governance frameworks and best practices
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including experience collaborating with C-level executives
- Experience in retail, consumer, digital, or omnichannel environments is advantageous
- Demonstrated ability to combine operational delivery with forward-looking vision on analytics evolution
- Commitment to clarity, consistency, and quality in analytics products and user experience
