Role & Responsibilities
- Support daily store operations alongside the Store Manager to ensure smooth service delivery, sales growth and adherence to brand standards.
- Lead, coach and develop store teams through real-time feedback, structured performance appraisals and individualized development plans to maximise engagement and results.
- Recruit, hire and onboard diverse retail talent who embody Sephora’s customer service ethos and performance expectations.
- Drive exceptional client experiences by resolving guest concerns, promoting loyalty programmes and delivering personalised consultations.
- Maintain visual merchandising and store presentation to Sephora standards and ensure compliance with policies, procedures and loss-prevention protocols.
- Optimise inventory allocation and staffing resources, adapt to shifting priorities and execute initiatives that improve sales and profitability.
- Monitor and deliver against sales KPIs, provide actionable reporting to the Store Manager and implement corrective action where required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in assistant store management or equivalent leadership role within fast-paced, high-volume retail environments.
- Demonstrable capability to recruit, inspire and develop teams with a track record of driving sales and operational excellence.
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide constructive feedback and foster open dialogue.
- Strong coaching orientation and commitment to continuous learning and talent development.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required by store operations.
- Ability to perform physical tasks of the role, including lifting up to 50 pounds and prolonged standing and walking; ability to handle and apply product to clients, with or without accommodation.

Experience
Demonstrated success as an assistant store manager or equivalent in high-volume retail, with a history of driving sales, developing staff and delivering elevated client experiences. Specific years of experience are not stipulated but proven leadership in comparable environments is required.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business, retail management, hospitality or a related field preferred.
