Sephora Department Manager Skincare position at Mall of Berlin; lead a team in prestige beauty retail with full operational and commercial responsibility.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the skincare team to deliver outstanding customer experience and achieve sales targets
- Conduct inductions and training programs for new employees, acting as a role model for the Sephora culture and DNA
- Manage day-to-day store operations including floor management, cash register procedures, opening and closing routines, and inventory control
- Execute full product handling cycle including receiving goods, storage, booking out, managing returns, and tester ordering
- Oversee visual merchandising, brand updates, in-store animations, and compliance with Sephora audit rules
- Monitor and manage department expenses while driving monthly and annual sales targets including year-on-year growth
- Track and optimize key performance indicators including customer satisfaction, staff productivity, stock availability, turnover versus targets, and retail metrics (MS, IPT, AVB, CR)
- Collaborate on Click & Collect processes and support daily store maintenance including cleanliness, pricing, and product refill
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in retail team leadership, ideally in a premium or service-oriented environment
- Strong understanding of retail KPIs, store operations, and visual merchandising
- Proficiency with retail systems and tools for inventory and sales management
- Demonstrated expertise in team leadership, coaching, and employee development
- Knowledge of the beauty industry, skincare trends, and product categories
- Fluent in English or native German language
