Role & Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the makeup department team to deliver outstanding customer experience
  • Provide active support and expertise to team members across beauty categories (makeup, skincare, hair care, fragrance) and communicate current beauty trends
  • Embody and model the Sephora Attitude (Welcoming, Knowing, Closing) and pass on Sephora DNA throughout the team
  • Conduct inventory management to ensure optimal product availability and execute the complete product handling cycle, including receiving, storage, returns management, and tester organization
  • Oversee daily store operations and maintenance, including opening and closing procedures, cash register reconciliation, cleanliness standards, pricing accuracy, and product replenishment
  • Collaborate on visual merchandising initiatives, brand updates, and in-store promotional activities
  • Manage department expenses and monitor key performance indicators including sales targets, customer satisfaction, staff engagement, stock efficiency, and retail metrics (MS, IPT, AVB, CR, number of services)
  • Support Click & Collect processes and ensure compliance with Sephora Audit standards
  • Delegate tasks effectively and communicate commercial targets clearly to motivate team performance
  • Facilitate onboarding and training programs for new team members

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in retail department leadership, preferably in a premium or service-oriented environment
  • Demonstrated expertise in beauty industry products and current trends
  • Strong understanding of retail KPIs, store operations, and visual merchandising practices
  • Proficiency with retail systems and point-of-sale tools
  • Fluency in English or native proficiency in German (country language)
