Sephora Department Manager Make Up position in Hamburg, Germany. Lead a beauty retail team full-time on permanent contract.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and coach the Make Up department team to deliver exceptional customer experience and commercial excellence
- Support team members with product knowledge, beauty trends, and active sales guidance on the retail floor
- Recruit, induct, and develop new employees; organize and facilitate training programs
- Ensure compliance with Sephora Attitude values and company standards across daily operations
- Manage full product handling cycle: receiving goods, storage, booking, returns, and tester management
- Execute opening and closing procedures, including cash register reconciliation
- Oversee store maintenance, cleanliness, pricing accuracy, product replenishment, and tester ordering
- Collaborate on visual merchandising, brand updates, and in-store promotional activities
- Monitor and control department expenses and P&L performance
- Drive achievement of monthly and annual sales targets, including year-on-year growth
- Track and optimize key performance indicators including customer satisfaction, staff productivity, stock availability, and retail metrics (MS, IPT, AVB, CR)
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in retail, preferably in team leadership roles within premium or service-oriented environments
- Demonstrated expertise in beauty industry products, trends, and cosmetics categories
- Strong understanding of retail KPIs and store operations
- Proficiency with retail systems and tools
- Visual merchandising and stock management capabilities
- Fluent English; native proficiency in German is preferred
