Sephora is hiring a Department Manager in Købmagergade, Copenhagen — full-time retail leadership role overseeing sales, merchandising and team development.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop the sales team to deliver exemplary customer experiences and achieve store targets.
- Act as a role model for the Sephora attitude and transmit the Sephora DNA across the department.
- Set and communicate clear commercial targets; motivate the team to meet sales KPIs and conversion objectives.
- Ensure product presentation adheres to visual merchandising specifications and support merchandising updates and conversions.
- Manage assortment and maintain merchandise on the sales floor, including replenishment, preparation of product for sale and cleaning of displays.
- Oversee warehousing and stockroom operations: receiving, stocking, cycle counts and participating in inventories.
- Operate the point-of-sale/cash register and ensure transactional accuracy and compliance.
- Perform additional daily operational tasks required for smooth store functioning and customer service continuity.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in retail or a related customer-facing sector (beauty, cosmetics, fashion, gastronomy).
- Proven leadership and coaching ability with experience motivating teams to achieve commercial objectives.
- Demonstrated experience advising customers and delivering high-quality client service.
- Good knowledge of the beauty industry and current trends.
- Fluent in English and able to communicate in the local language (Danish preferred).
- Reliable, hands-on and solution-oriented with strong communication and delegation skills.
