Sephora — Demand Planning Assistant (internship) in Saran, France. Apprenticeship supporting EU demand forecasting, S&OP and reporting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Contribute to the S&OP process by producing and adjusting weekly sales forecasts for EU markets, integrating inputs from Commercial, Finance and Marketing stakeholders.
- Analyse sales drivers (events, promotions, economic context, seasonality) to correct forecasts and improve forecast accuracy metrics.
- Validate and cleanse historical data in the forecasting system; document and adjust records for exceptional sales events.
- Define replenishment guidance and stock requirements for promotional events, new product launches and one‑shot items; monitor and act on launch stockouts.
- Develop strategies for end‑of‑catalogue articles and overstocked SKUs to optimise sell‑through and inventory levels.
- Prepare regular reporting and lead information‑sharing meetings with local supply chain teams to align market performance and operational plans.
- Align sales forecasts with purchasing budgets, run demand‑scenario simulations and challenge assumptions where necessary.
- Participate in continuous‑improvement projects including the rollout of a new sales forecasting tool and support store opening logistics when required.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a Master's programme (or equivalent) in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline and eligible for an alternance/apprenticeship.
- Strong numerical aptitude and analytical rigour, with a demonstrated ease handling data and KPIs.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and solid familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
- Good command of spoken and written English.
- Proactive mindset, solution‑oriented, rigorous and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment.
- Team player with positive attitude and effective interpersonal skills.

Experience
Entry‑level / internship: suitable for a candidate at the beginning of their professional career, ideally with prior internships or academic experience in supply chain, demand planning or related analytical roles.
Education
Currently enrolled in or recently pursuing a Master's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering or a related field.

This position is based in Saran, Centre-Val de Loire, France, within easy reach of Orléans.
