Sephora seeks a Demand Planner for its Saran, France office to lead S&OP forecasting and supply chain optimization in a permanent hybrid role.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Establish and adjust weekly sales forecasts by analyzing factors influencing demand, including events, economic conditions, and market trends
  • Analyze forecast accuracy and identify influencing factors to optimize sales forecasting models and methodologies
  • Validate historical data integrity within forecasting systems and document exceptional sales occurrences
  • Develop strategies for managing forecasts of products being phased out or experiencing overstock situations
  • Analyze promotional impact on sales performance and determine stock requirements for planned promotional events
  • Manage new product launches and one-shot items within the forecasting tool, analyzing market performance and adjusting replenishment based on actual demand
  • Lead cross-functional meetings with local Supply Chain teams to share information, coordinate market activities, and communicate sales performance and strategic events
  • Align sales forecasts with purchasing budgets defined by Finance, simulate demand scenarios, and challenge data validity when necessary
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of forecasting processes and overall supply chain efficiency
  • Participate in the implementation and rollout of new sales forecasting tools

Qualifications

  • Master's degree (BAC+5) in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Engineering
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience in Demand Planning
  • Strong analytical skills and demonstrated proficiency with numerical data
  • Excellent command of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Fluent English enabling effective interaction with international stakeholders
  • Retail industry experience (preferred)
