Sephora is hiring a Demand Planner in Saran, France — permanent full-time role supporting S&OP and sales forecasting.
Role & Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain weekly sales forecasts for assigned portfolios, integrating inputs from Commercial, Finance and Marketing stakeholders and aligning with the S&OP cycle.
- Analyse sales drivers (promotions, events, seasonality, macro context) to adjust forecasts and identify deviations from trends.
- Monitor forecast accuracy, diagnose root causes of variance and propose model or process improvements to increase precision.
- Validate and cleanse historical data in forecasting systems; document and correct exceptional sales events.
- Define replenishment and end-of-life strategies for discontinued or overstocked items to optimise inventory levels.
- Evaluate promotional impacts and quantify incremental stock requirements for planned commercial events.
- Manage new-product launches and one-shot items in the forecasting tool; track market performance and adapt replenishment to actual demand.
- Coordinate with local Supply Chain teams through information-sharing meetings and cross-functional reviews; align forecasts with Finance purchase budgets and run demand scenarios.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects to enhance forecasting processes and overall supply-chain efficiency.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum of two years’ experience in Demand Planning or forecasting; retail experience is a strong advantage.
- Excellent analytical aptitude with strong numerical literacy and attention to detail.
- Rigorous, proactive mindset with the ability to propose actionable improvements.
- Collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills and a positive, solutions-oriented attitude.

Experience
At least 2 years of hands-on experience in demand planning or sales forecasting; experience within a retail or fast-moving consumer goods environment is desirable.
Education
Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering or related discipline preferred.
