Sephora Mexico City is hiring a Demand Planner to lead forecasting, inventory optimisation and purchase planning for multi‑brand retail operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Plan and execute daily replenishment across multiple categories and brands by reviewing inventory levels, in-transit stock and open purchase orders for stores and distribution centers to ensure product availability.
- Generate and maintain demand forecasts by analysing point-of-sale, inventory and trend data; produce regular forecast revisions and scenario plans to anticipate demand shifts and mitigate stock risk.
- Manage purchase orders and coordinate shipments with suppliers to secure timely replenishment and resolve supply exceptions.
- Monitor inventory health — identify and action excesses, shortages and transfers to optimise availability and minimise shrinkage or obsolescence.
- Produce six-month purchase projections by category and brand and share monthly estimates with suppliers to align procurement with demand strategy.
- Partner with commercial, logistics and store teams to support promotions, new product introductions and seasonal changes; track KPIs and report on forecast accuracy and inventory performance.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in demand planning, forecasting and inventory analysis — experience in retail (preferably beauty or consumer goods) is strongly preferred.
- Advanced analytical aptitude with demonstrable use of Excel and SAP for planning and reporting; familiarity with forecasting tools and statistical models.
- Advanced English (indispensable); strong written and verbal communication skills for supplier liaison and cross‑functional coordination.
- Proven ability to manage multiple SKUs and suppliers, prioritise under pressure and deliver against tight operational timelines.
- Comfortable working in a hybrid environment and interfacing with commercial, supply chain and distribution teams.

Experience
5+ years in demand planning, forecasting and inventory management, ideally within retail or consumer goods (beauty/cosmetics advantageous). Demonstrable track record of improving forecast accuracy and maintaining healthy stock levels.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Economics, Industrial Engineering or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
