Sephora — Neuilly-sur-Seine: Category Manager to lead assortment, merchandising and launches across channels.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and deploy the operational marketing strategy for the assigned category across the commercial mix: assortment, merchandising, promotions, communication and pricing.
- Manage a portfolio of brands across channels by analysing sales performance, segment KPIs and new product introductions to inform assortment and activation decisions.
- Own trade planning and calendar management, ensuring retroplanning compliance and cross-functional coordination with Trade, Purchasing and Supply Chain teams.
- Optimize category visibility on digital platforms and execute e‑merchandising, working closely with e‑commerce, digital activation and logistics teams.
- Plan and manage product launch activity and promotional operations in collaboration with brands and internal stakeholders.
- Communicate commercial plans and updates to the store network via intranet and support regional directors and stores in execution.
- Monitor and report on budgets and joint-business plans with Purchasing to achieve sales and margin targets; anticipate issues and propose corrective actions across the four commercial levers.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years' experience in category management, merchandising, trade marketing or operational marketing — preferably in retail or beauty.
- Strong analytical aptitude with proven ability to interpret commercial data and translate insights into actionable plans.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; ability to influence and coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Organised, rigorous and autonomous with strong project management capabilities.
- Practical experience in operational marketing and product launch planning.

Experience
Minimum 3 years in a similar role within retail, beauty or consumer goods with hands-on responsibility for assortment, promotions and cross-functional commercial planning.
Education
Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, commerce or equivalent; advanced degree is a plus.
